It is important to support students as they are entering and as they are leaving high school. At the start of the high school experience, students and families rely on schools to help students transition easily from grade 8-to-9.  At the end, trust that their school has provided hands-on, real-world experiences that prepare kids for "life after high school." In this workshop I will share two programs. 1) The High School Experience, a grade 8-to-9 transition program and 2) Senior Project, which connected students with professional mentors as well as an internship.  Attendees will learn how I partnered with various stakeholders to get these programs off the ground. Attendees will also learn about some of the activities that were a part of each program. The ideas included in this session can be duplicated in any school!
